Views from the cemetery through my len's point of view....

My family has always enjoyed going through cemeteries. My Nanie (Grandmother Nellie Robinson) would love to go to their local cemetery and my mother and I love to go to our local cemetery.. For some it's a morbid or depressing place, for me I see the beauty of the past and the present.. A lesson in the history of our ancestors and learning about those who have come before us...

What a blessing that this past thanksgiving it was a sunny day with no snow. We decided to stop in for a quick visit of my parent's stone and to take some pictures for my family and of course I took many pictures... Here are a few of my favorites

Love the bareness of trees, looking down at the stones

Respecting those buried, I try to not get their names but found this interesting. Just mother and father...

I was focusing to show through this stone's opening but ended up getting the hillside as well..

Loved the looking down pictures... the older stones have so many interesting features.

A little green on a late November day..

My friends and Family know my addiction to all things nautical--- perhaps a sailor was buried here...
Yes I have quite the imagination..

A little gray and overcast in this picture but it's what I like best about it.

A little gothic looking stone--I love the dark black that has formed on the stone..

Wish I had my better camera this day, but sometimes the most unexpected photo opportunities turn out the best and I enjoyed the view from "Just a girl's lens eye view of the world" this thanksgiving day...

New Blog to showcase my photography....

Cannot believe I've created another blog... But alas I have gone and done it.. My desire is to have a place to share my photography with more than my family and Facebook followers. Also will allow me to share the stories behind the pictures and hopefully connect with others who enjoy the beauty you can see behind a camera lens...

Lets start with some pictures I took this past fall. My mother and I were able to get away for a bit and I took her all over to see the leaves.. What a wonderful time we had and I'm believe she is catching the photography bug as well..
